Management Team
The senior management team at Chatham Partners stays actively involved with each project, providing expert insight and remaining readily accessible to clients. Led by Chatham’s President, Peter Starr, our team has the financial industry expertise and market research experience to transform data and feedback into actionable recommendations.
Peter Starr
President and Chief Executive Officer
Peter’s primary focus in leading Chatham is to offer clients cutting edge research initiatives executed by team members with deep industry knowledge. It is this unique marriage of research prowess and contextual knowledge that has created a truly unique offering for Chatham’s clients.
Prior to joining Chatham Partners, Peter was the principal and founder of PH Starr Assoc., a consulting and market research firm whose focus was assisting financial service firms with strategy development and brand building. Major clients of PH Starr Assoc. included Fidelity Investments, Old Mutual Insurance Company, John Hancock Financial Services, TD Waterhouse, FleetBoston Financial, and Bank of America. Prior to founding PH Starr Assoc., Peter was a Managing Director and Director of Consulting at Cerulli Associates, Inc. Peter earned a B.S. at Northeastern University.
Laura Artz
Vice President, Director of Research
Laura joined Chatham Partners in 2004 and in her current capacity oversees the design and execution of Chatham’s customized research studies. Additionally, Laura is responsible for company-wide strategic process improvements and management of the research team. Laura has over 15 years of financial services and market research experience. Prior to joining Chatham Partners, Laura was a Senior Consultant at Accenture, where she led change management initiatives for CRM systems implementations with a focus on sales and client service processes in various markets including: Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals, and Government. Laura received her B.A. with Honors in Psychology from Dartmouth College.
Sarah Hubbell
Business Manager
Sarah Hubbell manages all aspects of office operations, including preparing, monitoring and updating the budget as well as interacting with clients regarding contracts, billing and risk assessments. Prior to joining Chatham in 2003, Sarah was employed for 13 years at Fidelity Investments, most recently as a Vice President of Institutional Sales focusing on bank trust departments. Other Fidelity experience includes retirement plan sales, retail sales, and customer service. She also held positions with Mercantile Bank in St. Louis and Aetna. Sarah holds a B.A. from Amherst College.

Charleen Kress
Consultant/Executive Interviewer
Charleen joined Chatham Partners as an Executive Interviewer in 2001. Previously, she spent 14 years in the financial services industry, consulting to business-to-business and consumer clients. Prior to her work as an independent consultant, she was employed as a Vice President at Hill Holliday and at Talbots. Charleen holds an A.L.M. from Harvard University and a B.A. from Vassar College.
Debra Darling
Consultant/Executive Interviewer
Debra has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, and was previously employed at P/E Investments as a Vice President focusing on institutional investors in alternative asset classes. She also was employed at National Computer Systems and BankBoston Securities Division before joining Chatham Partners in 2000. She holds an M.B.A. from Simmons College and a B.A. from Southern Connecticut State University.
Lisa Alemian
Consultant/Executive Interviewer
Lisa joined Chatham Partners in 2005 after spending 19 years with State Street Corporation, most recently as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing and Communications. In this role, she focused on directing the development and global rollout of the company’s client satisfaction and loyalty program. Other previous employers include Bankers Trust Company and Lebenthal. Lisa holds a B.A. from Smith College.
Karen Kingsbury
Consultant/Executive Interviewer
Karen held Associate Vice President and Vice President positions with two major financial institutions prior to joining Chatham Partners in 2001. She also has previous experience conducting market research for the information technology industry. Karen holds an M.P.A. from Harvard University, an M.B.A. from Willamette University, and a B.A. from Colgate University.

Gregory DelGiudice
Associate Vice President
Greg joined Chatham Partners in 2012 and has direct responsibility for the overall design, development, collection, analysis, and interpretation of client research studies and surveys. Greg has worked on projects across a broad segment of the financial services industry, including retirement services, institutional asset management, trust and custody services, private wealth management, and investment consulting. Greg earned a B.S. in Economics from Trinity College.
Kelli MacDonald
Associate Vice President
Kelli joined Chatham Partners in 2012 and has direct responsibility for the overall design, development, collection, analysis, and interpretation of client research studies and surveys. During her tenure at Chatham, she has worked on projects across a broad segment of the financial services industry, including retirement services, institutional asset management, trust and custody services, and private wealth management. Kelli earned a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
Monica Das
Senior Research Analyst
Monica joined Chatham in 2014. In her current role, Monica manages all aspects of data collection and data management for assigned research studies and is accountable for successful project execution. She has worked on projects with clients such as Lincoln Financial Group, Principal, and Transamerica. Monica graduated from Bowdoin College with a B.A. in English.
Nicholas Luther
Analyst
Nick joined Chatham in 2016 and is responsible for various aspects of projects including developing questionnaires, field work monitoring and coding, processing data, checking for logic and data inconsistencies, and preparing reports for clients. Nick graduated from Bates College with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in East Asian Studies.
